這一次我們會把位置相關的字首與字尾結束。

舉例：lateroabdominal 在腹部兩邊的

to the left : lev(o)-

舉例：levocardia 心尖朝左，一般的位置
（cardi(o)-請參考第十一課（一））

舉例：levorotatory 左旋

to the right : dextr(o)-

舉例：dextrocardia 心尖朝右

右邊小圖是一般人的心臟方向

舉例：dextrose 葡萄糖
（-ose是表示碳水化合物的字根）

因為葡萄糖在自然界是右旋，而且是最廣泛的
所以被稱為dextrose

舉例：trans-butenedioic acid 反丁烯二酸，富馬酸，檸檬酸循環的中間產物
